Manage Device Settings

Manage Device Settings

ENGAGE devices use settings to allow users to change, update, and customize their devices.

This section identifies how settings can be managed for the following topics:

  • General Configurations - This is used to communicate to the device for writing device parameters such as setting Daylight Savings time, Clock time, and Relock.

  • Database Versions - This is used to communicate to the device for writing user credential capabilities such as deleting, updating, adding, holidays, and autounlock.

  • Call-in Times - This is used to write to the device parameter Database Download Time. This lets the device know when to update from the server.

  • Automatic Call-in Retry - This is used to write to the device parameter Next Database Version Time Stamp. This lets the device know when the next update from the server will be.

  • Reader Settings - This is used to communicate to the device for setting the type of card reader the device will use.

  • Changing Device Settings - This is used to change device settings depending on the parameter that needs to be changed.
