ENGAGE devices use settings to allow users to change, update, and customize their devices.
This section identifies how settings can be managed for the following topics:
General Configurations - This is used to communicate to the device for writing device parameters such as setting Daylight Savings time, Clock time, and Relock.
Database Versions - This is used to communicate to the device for writing user credential capabilities such as deleting, updating, adding, holidays, and autounlock.
Call-in Times - This is used to write to the device parameter Database Download Time. This lets the device know when to update from the server.
Automatic Call-in Retry - This is used to write to the device parameter Next Database Version Time Stamp. This lets the device know when the next update from the server will be.
Reader Settings - This is used to communicate to the device for setting the type of card reader the device will use.
Changing Device Settings - This is used to change device settings depending on the parameter that needs to be changed.
