Device Information Exchange

ENGAGE Devices exchange information regularly between the Device and the Server based on settings for specific tasks which are discussed in another topic.

Principles of Information Exchange

There are several types of information that are exchanged between devices and the server.

This section identifies what type of information is sent and received to and from devices and the server for the listed topics. It also defines how that information is exchanged.

Select the desired topic from the Side Menu Navigation Panel.

• Configuration Information (to/from devices/server): The device returns only retrievable parameters.

• User Information (to/from devices/server): The device sends and receives User information to and from the server.

• Audit Information (to server): The device returns all of the Audits that the device has stored since the last update from the server.

• Alert Information (to server): The device returns any Alerts that the device has registered since the last update from the server. Alerts let the user know when specific events happen.
